University of Toronto team is now working on Milestone G1.4, a software-based binary instrumentation system for ensuring control flow integrity of the kernel.

This is a significant milestone that will form the basis for
developing a knowledge base as described in Milestone G1.2, G1.3 and
G1.5. The binary instrumentation system will enable detecting attacks
to the Linux kernel that are performed by exploiting vulnerabilities
in kernel modules.
